Having a ragged history since 2034,
the arena had to be rebuilt twice; one due to a terrorist attack, the second
due to over-zealous duellists. The current owner, Cliff "Doc" Savage, has
beefed up the arena's structure and defenses. He will protect his investment
at all costs. This arena is also part of the Flashfire Circuit.
Arena Notes:
The exterior walls are 60 feet high and have 70 DP. The walls for the interior buildings and the central bunker/platform are 15 feet high and have 20 DP. The ceiling has 50 DP and can be opened to allow helicopter entry. The grandstands are 22.5 feet off the ground and have 150 DP. The central bunker has an inner safety area that is 1" square and has 50 DP. Any duellist still trying to get another who has fled into this bunker is automatically targeted by the arena defenses and will be shot at until destruction or surrender. The second levels are 15 feet high and the roofs of the buildings have 100 DP.
The corner ramps lead to the second levels and are gradual enough so a car can't fly off them at the top. The four corner turrets each hold a universal-turreted tank gun, each with a +1 bonus for the gunners, 25 metal DP, and manned by a gunner +3. Numerous unmarked security cars patrol the outside of the arena in case the duellists "take it outside".
The ten gates are all on the bottom
level. Gates 3, 5, 8, and 10 are on the outer
wall. Gates 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, and 9 open directly into the arena floor.
Arena Schedule:

Arena Events:
Since the Westroads runs many other
events besides duelling the schedule might change at the last minute. Be
sure to check your local AADA office or the AADA BBS for further information.
Duelling for Bucks
This event has an unmarked briefcase
with the first place prize in it. Contestants must get to it, pick it up
and then drive back to their assigned gate before the time limit expires.
In an alternate version several briefcases are placed out. One has the
cash, the others are booby traps, contain nothing, gift certificates, or
whatever the duelmaster can think of.
House Rules
Doc is an active duellist
and just loves to challenge local and visiting hotshots to a team event.
Doc is a Driver +4, Gunner +5, Handgunner +3 and Runner +2. His three other
team members are top-ranked pros, usually Drivers +3, Gunners +4, Handgunner
+2, and Running +2. The challenges are always in the higher divisions (40,
60, 80, and 100) and Doc doesn't like to lose. Prestige and prize money
are 50% higher in this event.
