Thunder Valley Racetrack
Elk Point, South Dakota
Located ten miles north of North Sioux City, South Dakota, the racetrack
attracts race fans from Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota and Minnesota. Rebuilt
in 2049 on the original racetrack site, Thunder Valley holds events from
May to September. Featured vehicles include cars, cycles, trikes, and sprint
cars. Thunder Valley is part of the Flashfire Circuit.

Track Features:
The outer walls are 15 feet high and have 100 DP. The inner walls are 3
feet high and have 60 DP. Dirt and gravel form the track, making it an off-road
surface. Overall track length is .91 of a mile and the grandstands hold
10,000.
Schedule:
Monday & Tuesday - Closed.
Wednesday - Practice.
Thursday - Amatuer/Challenge Night.
Friday - Time Trials.
Saturday - AADA Divisionals.
Sunday - Special Events.
Special Events:
Thunder and Lightning - A one lap drag around the track with speed boosters
allowed. Combat begins after the fifth turn. Prestige is doubled.
Governor's Cup - Held in June on four consecutive sundays, racers from
all over the state (South Dakota) compete for the Governor's Cup. This state
tournament has a grand prize of half-a-million dollars. A stock car only
event, the top finisher in each divisional preliminary (divisions 10, 20,
and 30) compete in the final division-40 race. Prestige is quadrupled.
Doubles - With the track divided in half, two races are held at the same
time. Prestige is normal.
