Sloan National Racetrack
Orlando, Florida

Built in 2044, the Sloan National Racetrack was the site of the 2045 Racing Worlds second and final rounds. In 1995, the track was used in two events at Gencon.
Part of the Dixie Duel Circuit, the track runs a regular season of racing from February to November. Cars, racing bodies, cycles, and trikes are the featured vehicles.

Track Features:
The track was originally done in Matchbox scale, with the track broken up into several sections, for easy transport. Because of this, the track could be configured in several different ways.
The outer walls are 15 feet high and have 100 DP. The track is paved with no walls and the infield is covered with grass. Of the two hairpin turns, the larger one is banked (-1D to maneuvers). The Omega Turn is so named because it looks like the Greek symbol Omega and eats most racers. Track length is .22 mile.

Track Rules:
Dropped weapons of any kind, including dischargers and point defense grenades, are forbidden. Temporary speed boosters are allowed in certain events. Tire shots are illegal.
Races are usually started from the start/finish lines. Sometimes a stagger start is required, placing racers in opposite directions for dueltrack events.

Schedule:
Monday - closed
Tuesday - practice sessions
Wednesday - time trials
Thursday - amateur night
Friday - challenge night

Special Events:
Tournaments - State, regional, and national events have been hosted at this track, including IROC events. Prestige is multiplied by the level of the tournament.

IROC -  Ten racers compete with the same design of race car and go four laps around the track. Held only four times a year, prestige for an IROC race is doubled. Cars are provided by the track.
