Picard Racing Complex
Paris, France

This Star Trek themed racing complex was built in 2050 outside Paris. It runs a regular season from May to October. Often two races are held at once thanks to the multi-lane design. Cars, racing bodies, cycle, trikes and hovercraft events are featured. The Picard is part of the Olde World and Star Trek Circuits.

Special Events:
Team Events - Each team chooses a Star Trek race (Federation, Klingon, Cardassian, etc.) and places that race's symbol somewhere on their cars. Company sponsored teams typically have the same symbol for all of their vehicles. This is true if the race they use has multiple symbols, like classic Trek and Next Generation Klingons and the variations of the Federation arrowhead symbol.

Star Trek Events - These events usually occur on the birthdays of Star Trek actors' birthdays or other Trek-related items. One of these events is tribble racing. An equal number of tribbles and chasers begin the race half a track apart from each other. Every time the tribble(s) pass the start/finish line four more tribbles enter from the pits. The chasers must destroy or disable the tribbles before they're overwhelmed by them. The chaser who kills the most tribbles wins.

Tribbles are subcompact cars with a medium power plant, light armor, HD racing slicks, and no weapons. A coating of fur is applied to give the cars the appearance of a tribble. No animals were harmed to provide the fur for the cars. :-)

Warp Speed Trials - See the Iowa City Speedway for details.

Two in One - The racer competes in one race on each track in one day. They must have vehicles ready for both races. Double prestige if the racer finishes on both tracks; triple prestige if the racer wins on both tracks. Remember to subtract one from reflex roles on the second race.

Out of the Closet - Amateur event with Division 5 or 10 stock racing vehicles. The winner gets an option to go pro. Prestige is double.
