Heavy Rocket Launcher: To-hit 8, $1,250, 300 lbs., 3 spaces, 3 DP, 10 shots, 3D6 damage, burst effect. CPS: $50, WPS: 7.5 lbs. Loaded cost: $1,750, loaded weight: 375 lbs.
Extra-Heavy Rocket Launcher: To-hit 8, $1,500, 400 lbs., 4 spaces, 5 DP, 10 shots, 4D6 damage, burst effect. CPS: 75, WPS: 10. Loaded cost: $2,250, loaded weight: 500 lbs.
Rocket Cannon: To-hit 8, $3,000, 600 lbs., 6 spaces, 8 DP, 10 shots, 6D6 damage, burst effect. CPS: $100, WPS: 15 lbs. Loaded cost: $4,000, loaded weight: 750 lbs.
These types of rocket launchers may be mounted on any vehicles. All types of rocket ammunition may be used.
Disruptor: To-hit 6, $30,000, 150 lbs., 1 space, 3 DP, 3D6 damage,
area effect. Uses one power unit per shot.
The disruptor projects a highly concentrated beam
of sound at its target. The secondary vibrations created by this weapon
will do an additional die of damage to the second layer of armor or the
interior of the vehicle. The disruptor is not affected by any type of smoke
or paint, but visibility penalties still apply. A disruptor will work normally
under water, but not in outer space. It does full damage to laser-reflective
armor, 1/3 damage to metal armor and may be used to guide rockets or bombs.
Additionally, a disruptor may be used to stun pedestrians as a concussion
grenade. Those struck by the beam have a -2 penalty to the roll on the
effects table.
Electronic Warfare Missile: To-hit n/a, $6,000, 200 lbs., 1 space, 2 DP, 1 shot. This missile can jam or create false targets on an enemy's radar. It flies at 200 mph and has a maximum range of 200". The missile is usually tasked to fly around the target in a circle. It jams radar as if it were a radar jammer. It is targeted as a RGM. An electronic warfare missile have the modifications of high-velocity and long range.
Electronic Decoy Missile: To-hit n/a, $5,000, 200 lbs., 1 space, 2 DP, 1 shot. This missile is used to confuse enemy radar by creating 2D6 false radar images per turn. These may be filtered out using the radar fine-tuning rules. It has a flight speed of 200 mph and a maximum range of 200".
Pamphlet Bomb: To-hi 9, cost is 25% of original bomb cost, weighs 50% of original bomb weight, space and DP same as original bomb. This device is composed of bomb casing that has been packed with printed leaflets (user's choice of messages). It is set to detonate in midair in order to increase the dispersal of the leaflets.
Chaff Bomb: To-hit 9, cost: 50% of original bomb cost, weight: 50% of original bomb weight. Spaces & DP as original bomb. This type of bomb is loaded chaff along with a small bursting charge. When it is detonated at altitude, it will create a chaff cloud whose diameter is equal to 2x the burst radius of the bomb. The cloud will last until it hits the ground.
Sea Mines
Type | Cost | Weight | Damage | Spaces | DP |
Small | $150 | 50 | 2d6 | ½ | 2 |
Medium | $300 | 100 | 4d6 | 1 | 3 |
Large | $500 | 200 | 8d6 | 2 | 4 |
Submarine Rockets (SubRoc): 2x launcher cost, 2x CPS, no additional
weight or space.
The SubRoc system consists of a missile or rocket
launcher that has been modified so that it can be fired from below the
water. When fired, the SubRoc is propelled to the surface by a charge of
compressed air. The engine then ignites, sending the SubRoc to the target.
SubRocs may not use wire guidance and can only use laser guidance if the
targeting laser is carried by an aircraft or surface vessel.
Light X-Ray Laser: $5,000, 300 lbs, 2 spaces, 3 DP; to-hit 7, 2D6 damage. 2 PU per shot.
Medium X-Ray Laser: $10,000, 525 lbs., 3 spaces, 3 DP; to-hit 7, 3D6 damage. 3 PU per shot.
Twin X-Ray Laser: $18,000, 1,125 lbs., 3 spaces, 3 DP; to-hit
7, 4D6+3 damage. 3 PU per shot. When 2 DP are gone, one laser is destroyed.
Damage is then reduced to 2D6 damage and uses 2 PU per shot.
Glitter Sprayer: $800, 25 lbs., 1 space, 25 shots, 2 DP. CPS:
$15, WPS: 2, loaded cost $1,175, loaded weight 75 lbs. Creates a 1" x 1/2"
cloud when fired.
The Glitter Sprayer creates a cloud of reflective
crystals that prevents LADAR, and laser-based ATAD from working through
the cloud. Additionally, the cloud stops damage from all types of lasers
(except x-ray). The cloud will last one turn for each 2" of altitude it
is created at.
HD Glitter Sprayer: $1,600, 50 lbs., 2 spaces, 10 shots, 3 DP. CPS: $60, WPS: 8, loaded cost $2,200, loaded weight: 130 lbs. Creates a 1" x 2" cloud when fired.
Glitter Discharger: $80, 5 lbs. Creates a 1/2" x 1" cloud of glitter when triggered. a glitter discharger may use a bumper trigger. It can also be linked to a laser-reactive web.
Glitter Grenade: CPS: $40, WPS: 4. Creates a 1/2" x 1/2" cloud
when fired. a glitter grenade may use an impact fuse.
Particle Inlet Filter: $500, 50 lbs., 0 space, 3 DP. The Particle Inlet Filter is designed to catch flying debris as it enters a jet engine. It will catch up to nine debris counters before becoming clogged. If the engine isn't shut down at that time, it will overheat. The filter is targeted at a -6 from the front only. The above cost and weight is for each engine.
NOTAR (NO TAil Rotor): Cost: 50% of helicopter body cost, no
extra weight, gives +1 to HC and raises top speed by 20%.
This system eliminates the tail rotor and replaces
it with a number of small air jets. NOTAR is more stable than the standard
tail rotor as well as being easier to control.
Swivel Nozzle: Cost: 10% of engine cost, no extra weight.
Swivel nozzles can be mounted on any jet or rocket
engine. When so equipped, they can change the direction of their exhaust.
This allows a car to jump (as jump jets), or an aircraft to make maneuvers
at a -2D hazard.
Turbofan Jet Engine: Cost: 1.5x jet engine cost, weight: 1.5x
jet engine weight, no additional space.
This type of engine mounts large fans in front of
it. These fans push air around and over the engine, making it more efficient.
Turbofan MPG is tripled, and the power factors are raised by 50%. Turbofans
may use afterburners.
Turboprop/shaft Jet Engine: Cost: 125% of jet engine cost, weight:
125% of jet engine weight, 1 extra space.
Turboprop/shaft engines are designed to drive the
propellers of an airplane or the rotors of a helicopter. The operating
range of this type of engine is more controlled that a normal jet engine,
so MPG is tripled. Power factors are 80% of normal.
Propjet Engine: Cost: 200% of jet engine cost. Weight: 150% of
jet engine weight, no extra space.
A propjet engine has propeller blades at the rear
which are attached to the main turbine. They are more efficient than standard
jet engines; MPG is doubled. Power factors drop by 15%.
Delta Wings: 20% body cost, 10% body weight. Delta wings reduce the drag on an aircraft more than swept wings do. They increase the maximum speed of an aircraft by 50% and raise stall speed by 10 mph. Any propeller mounted on delta winds must face backwards. Delta wings may have the heavy-lift modification.
Folding Wings: $1,000, 20 lbs., 0 spaces. This modification allows aircraft to be stored in smaller areas. It takes 10 turns to fold the wings up or down. Folding wings reduce the extra space necessary to store aircraft to 10% of the aircraft's total spaces instead of 20%. This accessory may not be used with extra wings or variable-geometry wings.
Canards: A canard-equipped aircraft has had its "tail assembly" moved to the front. This configuration, if it stalls in any flight mode other than a zoom climb, inverted flight, or banked (rolled), automatically dives, and ignores the stalling rules.
Doppler Navigation System: $16,000, no space or weight, for aircraft
only.
Doppler navigation uses high-resolution radar to
navigate the aircraft very close to the ground. It must be used in conjunction
with an autopilot and a computer navigator. The system can fly an aircraft
at any height over any distance safely. Altitude and course must be set
before the system is engaged.
Piggyback Mounting: $500, 250 lbs., 0 space for microplanes.
$1,000, 400 lbs., 0 space for airplanes.
The Piggyback Mounting allows a larger aircraft
to carry and launch a smaller aircraft mounted above it. The combined aircraft
are somewhat unstable, and all maneuvers by the larger aircraft are at
a +D1 hazard. The larger aircraft must be able to lift both itself and
the smaller aircraft into the air. The smaller aircraft can be launched
by going into a dive and releasing it, a D2 hazard for both aircraft. Once
released, the smaller aircraft may not be retrieved. The release option
costs an extra $100. The modifications involved in this system are only
made to the larger aircraft.
Virtual-Reality Targeting Computer: $6,000, 25 lbs., 0 space,
gives a +1 to-hit bonus.
The VRTC is a targeting computer that uses other
sensors (radar, sonar, ir, etc.) to create a computer-generated landscape
on the vehicle's windshield that is so detailed that it is nearly impossible
to distinguish it from the real thing. The VRTC negates the targeting modifiers
for smoke, hot smoke, paint, and weather. The blinding effects of searchlights
and flash grenades aren't normally negated unless tinted windows are purchased.
Two other versions of this system are available: high-resolution and full
VR. The hi-res VRTC gives +2 to-hit and costs $10,000. The full VR targeting
computer costs $30,000, weighs 100 lbs., and takes up one space. Use of
a full VRTC requires a neurolink or a virtual suit. a virtual suit is a
jumpsuit that reads the user's body movements and converts them into a
virtual-reality context. It costs $1,000. a virtual suit may be built into
any type of body armor for $1,500.
Booster Packs
Size | Cost | Weight | DP | Fuel Capacity |
1 space | $900 | 175 lbs | 2 | 100 lbs |
2 space | $1,800 | 325 lbs | 3 | 200 lbs |
3 space | $3,100 | 500 lbs | 4 | 300 lbs |
4 space | $4,500 | 700 lbs | 5 | 400 lbs |
5 space | $6,400 | 875 lbs | 6 | 500 lbs |
Booster packs are automatically streamlined, thus causing only a 5% loss to top speed to the vehicle using them. They may be armored at a cost of $10 and 4 lbs per point, with a maximum of 40 lbs of armor). Booster packs are targeted at a -2 to-hit.
Revised Hitches
Type | Cost | Weight | DP | Max. Load |
Light | $250 | 10 lbs | 1 | 2,000 lbs |
Medium | $350 | 20 lbs | 1 | 6,000 lbs |
Standard | $500 | 30 lbs | 2 | 12,000 lbs |
Heavy | $650 | 40 lbs | 3 | 20,000 lbs |
X-Heavy | $800 | 60 lbs | 4 | 30,000 lbs |
Ultra-Heavy | $1,000 | 80 lbs | 5 | 40,000 lbs |
Collision-Resistant Chassis: 3x body cost, no additional weight
or space, no modifications to the cost of the suspension or chassis.
The CR Chassis causes a vehicle so equipped to take
-2 hits per die of damage from rams, rolls, falls, and collisions.
Racing Body: Six times normal body cost, half normal body weight,
no space.
This modifies cycles, trikes, car bodies and boats
with better handling and safety for racing. Racing bodies have a HC of
5 before any other modification; no other suspension mods are allowed.
They take half damage in collisions, due to built-in roll cages. Racing
bodies are automatically streamlined. They can be made off-road capable
for eight times normal body cost.
Landmasters: The Landmaster became famous when it appeared in the move Damnation Alley. It can operate over most terrain (including water), thus earning its name. Landmasters come in three sizes similar to regular buses.
Size | Cost | Weight | Load | Spaces | Armor |
Mini | $30,000 | 3,300 lbs | 35,000 lbs | 35 | 32/14 |
30 Foot | $35,000 | 4,400 lbs | 45,000 lbs | 45 | 35/17 |
40 Foot | $40,000 | 6,100 lbs | 60,000 lbs | 60 | 40/18 |
Landmasters mount their tires on triangular frames which place two wheels of the three on the ground; thus, eight of the 12 tires are always on the ground. When a tire is damaged or encounters a large hazard (obstacles or enemy fire), the frame rotates to place a new wheel on the ground. Wheel changes are done either automatically or by using a firing action. The system will not rotate a destroyed tire to the ground.
Landmasters use off-road truck tires (using appropriate cost and weight modifiers). They can travel across water like a boat, using the wheel frames and tires as paddles. The Landmaster's water speed is figured as a boat. Truck skill is needed to drive a Landmaster. Top speed for the Landmaster is figured as a bus. Landmaster counter size is the same as buses of similar size.
Note: all Landmaster counters are cut in half with the second half maneuvered like a trailer. Figure it has a 1/4" tongue connecting them, with the tongue protected by the vehicular armor. The two section aspect of the Landmaster makes it capable of making tighter turns than normal buses.
Staggered Racing Suspension: $3,500, no additional weight or
space, for race cars and racing bodies only.
This type of suspension allows a race car to turn
in one direction more than in the other (left or right). It gives a -1
to the maneuver hazard when turning in the designed direction and a +2
to the maneuver hazard when turning in the other direction.
Fake Body: $100, 50 lbs., 0 space. Takes up cargo spaces equal
to half the spaces of the vehicle type.
A fake car body covers a vehicle, hiding its true
appearance. This item doesn't sit on the vehicle it is covering because
it comes with small support rollers which sit upon the ground. Therefore,
it doesn't count against the vehicle's maximum weight. A fake body can
be discovered on a 1 in 6 chance from a distance of 10 or more feet away.
The chance of discovery rises to 4 in 6 at less than 10 feet. Fake weapons
and accessories may be purchased at the cost of $10 each, adding no additional
weight. Note that a fake vehicle body must be of the next vehicle size
or larger. a mid-size can be disguised as a sedan, luxury, van or pickup,
not a compact.
Ramrod: Cost: $2,000, weight variable, 20 metal DP, 2 spaces.
The Ramrod is a large steel rod which will shoot
forward and lock into place when activated. In a ram, it does extra damage
equal to its DP. A ramrod weighs the same as 20 points of metal armor for
the vehicle type it is mounted on.
Multiple Superchargers: Up to two superchargers may be mounted on any gas engine. As with multiple turbochargers, acceleration bonuses and MPG penalties are cumulative.
Cargo Box: $10,000, 450 lbs., 7 spaces (if carried as cargo),
5 spaces of internal capacity.
The Cargo Box is usually mounted between the cab
and the kingpin of a tractor, and is used to carry the most valuable cargo.
A Cargo Box helps insure that an important cargo gets to its destination,
even if the trailer is ditched or destroyed. It has 60 DP of fireproof
armor, and can have the same optional equipment as a standard cargo safe.
A Cargo Box may be carried on a flatbed trailer or in the bed of a pickup
truck.
Extended Tractor: +$5,000 to body cost, add 500 lbs to body weight,
10 spaces to tractor size and raises maximum weight by 10%.
Any type of tractor may have this modification.
The counter size is 1 3/4" L x 1/2" W.
Hi-Res Radar: $5,000, no weight or space. This advanced radar allows for targeting without penalty through smoke, paint, rain, snow, etc. It actually shows a clear silhouette of all obstacles and targets for easy identification. Range is 3 miles; drains 10 power units per hour of continuous use.
Long Range Hi-Res Radar: $20,000, 100 lbs, one space. Similar to the regular Hi-Res Radar, but has a range of 15 miles. It drains 15 power units per hour of continuous uses.
Improved Solar Panel: $4,000, 100 lbs, 2 DP and 2 spaces. When deployed it recharges 10 power units per panel per 10 minutes in daytime or 8 power units for flushed solar panels per 10 minutes. All other characteristics are the same as normal solar panels.

Works
Torpedo Gun: To-hit as torpedo, $750, 1D6 damage (full to vehicles),
CPS: $10, 5 shots. Loaded cost: $800, 2 GE.
The Torpedo Gun fires miniature torpedoes, working
equally well below and above the surface of the water. It must be fired
within 30' (2") of a body of water. The torpedoes have a maximum range
of 144", and may have any type of torpedo modification (homing, etc).
Assault Pistol: To-hit: 7, $200, 1D6-1 damage (half to vehicles),
CPS $15, 20 shots. Loaded cost $500, 1 GE.
This weapon comprises an assault rifle with no buttstock,
a shortened barrel and a pistol grip. It fires the same ammunition as a
full-sized assault rifle, and has a built-in flash suppressor.
Variable Pistol: To-hit 7, $500, 1 or 2 hits damage, CPS $1,
8+8 shots. Loaded cost $516, 1 GE.
This pistol is capable of firing two different types
of ammunition (heavy & light pistol). It takes a firing action to switch
between ammo types (8 shots of each). After one type of ammo is expended,
it will automatically switch to the other. A Variable Pistol may use all
types of ammunition.
Stun Pistol: To-hit 7, $300, Damage - special, 10 shots, $5 and
2 minutes to recharge.
The Stun Pistol fires a concentrated beam of high-intensity
sound that will render unconscious any person hit by it for one minute.
Additionally, anyone knocked out by the beam will be stunned for an additional
minute. The Stun Pistol will not work through vehicular armor or in a vacuum.
Mini-Pistol: To-hit 7, $40, 1 hit damage, 8 shots, CPS $1. Loaded
cost $48, ½ GE.
A Mini-Pistol is a palm-sized pistol similar to
a multi-shot derringer. It is as concealable as a regular derringer. It
may use all types of hand weapon ammunition.
Collapsible Pistol: To-hit 6, $2,500, 1D6-2 damage (half to vehicles),
10 shots, CPS $12. Loaded cost $2,620 and 1 GE.
This item is a machine pistol that can be folded
onto itself to form a thin rectangular box. It takes a firing action and
one turn to unfold it, and two turns to collapse it. The collapsible pistol
is made of nonmetallic substances (making it undetectable by metal detectors)
and can use all ammo types. For an additional $500, the collapsible pistol
can be disguised as a radio or other electronic device.
Nonmetallic Hand Weapons: 5x weapon base cost, no additional
weight.
This modification makes any hand weapon (gun, knife,
sword, etc) undetectable by a metal detector. Such weapons are composed
of high-strength ceramics and reinforced plastics. If concealed under clothing,
such weapons will go undetected except by a thorough body search.
Signature Gun Mods: Cost three times base cost of handgun. The signature modification allows the gun to be fired only by one person. By installing an IC chip and palm reader into the gun, then encoding it with the firer's palm print, it allows only the firer to fire the gun. All pistols, rifles, PFTs, GLs, shotguns, needle guns, and stun guns can be modified.
