Station wagons were a favorite type of family car throughout the last half of the 20th century. Today, that role has been expanded to include light-duty cargo carriers as well as moderately-armed duelling vehicles. Those duellists who laugh at a station wagon's combat ability would do well to remember a famous battle which took place on Texas 1 outside of Dallas in August, 2032 where a Magnun Motors LongHauler lost a lane-changing dispute to a stock-model Connestoga station wagon. This efficient cargo carrier is produced by Amex Combat Autoworks under
license from Jontue Motors. Although the Handyman has decent firepower,
it is lightly armored. This vehicle's real strength lies in its ability
to haul nearly half a ton of cargo.

HEARSE
The Hearse is a light-duty cargo transport produced by Amex Combat
Autoworks. It gained notoriety in a battle which took place in 2043 during
a funeral procession in New Omaha.This combat involved six cyclists who
decided to shoot at the cortege for no good reason. The Hearse's driver
killed four of the attackers and sent the other two fleeing for their lives.

In 2039, Amex Combat Autoworks licensed the popular "Scout" design
from Crane Industries. Since then, the designers at Amex have produced
two other versions. All three are well-equipped off-road vehicles with
protected tires and a moderate cargo capacity.

This vehicle's durability has made it popular with some intra-city delivery

This off-road version of the 2044 Conestoga is popular with farmers

This Amex design is a straight dueller with no cargo capacity. It is
well-armored and very fast. The Speed Wagon's main weaknesses are unprotected
tires and a lack of dropped weapons.

WAR WAGON
The War Wagon is a well-armored and heavily-armed dueller from Amex
Combat Autoworks. It is particularly dangerous because the explosive-loaded
HMGs can easily shred the heaviest armor. The rear-mounted FOJ discourages
attacks from behind, so the best option when attacking is to shoot at the
tires (which are unprotected) or go after the sides.

The Fire Wagon is Republic Motors' answer to the War Wagon and Speed
Wagon from Amex Combat Autoworks. It is more heavily-armored than either
two of the Amex designs. The Fire Wagon's weaponry is positioned so as
to hinder attack from all directions. This vehicle's only real weakness
is unprotected tires.

Indra Motors (maker of the well-known Dragon & King Dragon designs)
introduced this design update in 2044. It features good handling, high
speed and a turreted pulse laser. The laser is powered by a laser battery,
so there is no drain on the power plant.

ROCKETFIRE
Magnum Motors recently started selling cars alongside its popular line
of oversized vehicles. The Rocketfire is an typical example. It is armed
with a laser-guided RL and a rear-mounted minedropper. An extra magazine
for the RL gives this machine combat endurance. As an added bonus, the
tires are protected by a combination of wheel hubs and wheelguards. The
Rocketfire's weaknesses are thin armor and the vulnerability of its laser-guided
ordnance to smoke.
