Knoxville Speedway
Knoxville, Iowa Built in 2049 on the site of the old speedway, and is part of the Sprint Car National Circuit. It is now a part of the L'Outrance Circuit. The Speedway runs events for sprint cars, cars, cycles and trikes. The racing season is from April to October. Click on thumbnail to see the

Track Features: The outer walls and garages are 15 feet high and have 100 and 40 DP respectively. Inner walls are 3 feet high and have 30 DP. The 60' TV Tower has 40 DP. Grandstand seating is 10,000. Defenses consist of eight VMGs in universal turrets (100 points of armor each). Track length is .37 of a mile. The track surface is packed dirt and gravel and is considered an off-road surface with banked corners (-1D to maneuvers conducted in the direction of the banking). No dropped weapons, turrets or R/EWPs allowed. Schedule: Monday & Tuesday - Closed Wednesday - Practice Thursday - Amateur/Challenge Night Friday - Time Trials Saturday - Special Events Sunday - AADA Divisionals Special Events: Tournaments - Local, state, regional, and national events are held at the Knoxville Speedway. Prestige is increased by 50% the level of the event, thus local tournaments earn normal prestige while national events earn 2.5 times as much prestige. Crowning of the King of Sprint Cars - In September the King of Sprint Cars is crowned with the running of the last race in the (national) Sprint Car Circuit. Complete with throne, crown, robe and a bevy of beauties. |
