Judges Arena
KC-1, Missouri

Originally meant to replace the existing Aksarben Arena in New Omaha, this updated arena was voted down by the public. The design was instead sold and built in KC-1. The Judges runs a regular season from April to October featuring car, cycle, trike, oversized vehicles and hovercraft events. Fully enclosed, the Judges Arena is part of the L'Outrance Circuit.
The arena is also used to punish criminals in televised events, ranging from amateur free-for-alls to executioner verses criminal duels, depending on the severity of the offense. With its claustrophobic environment with the maximum number of obstacles deployed the Judges can be a very difficult place to duel in.

Arena Features:
Outer walls are 25 feet high and have 100 DP. Obstacles can be raised or lowered a quarter inch (game scale) per turn to their maximum height of 15 feet and are indestructible. Obstacles can be activated randomly and individually or by location: outer wall, middle ring and inner ring. The arena floor is paved. As for the jumps, they're just like the obstacles in most respects, and have a maximum angle of 30 degrees. The pit is 30 feet deep and can be open/closed in one turn. Gates are 10 feet high and have 10 DP and will open when rammed. Grandstands hold 40,000.

Spikes can be raised from the arena floor in one turn and act as a spike plate. Turntables accelerate/decelerate at 10 mph per turn up to a maximum of 30 mph. Tunnels can be used once the associated obstacle is fully raised. Tunnels are 10 feet high.

Obstacles can be activated in different turns and in stages. To determine when the obstacles come into use roll a D6, the result being the turn the first set of obstacles come into play. For which set to use first, roll a D6 a consult the table below.
1 - 2: Outer obstacles
3 - 4: Middle obstacles
5 - 6: Inner obstacles, spikes, turntables, pit, jumps and tunnels.

Repeat the process for determining the turn and second set of obstacles, evenly deciding between the remaining two, and then roll for the turn for the last set of obstacles to become active

Defenses are comprised of 8 universally-turreted x-ray lasers mounted 30 feet above the arena floor and have 100 points of armor.

Special Events:
The Judges makes use of the special events featured at the Nationwide Arena.

Tournaments - Local, regional, and national events are held at The Judges with prestige multiplied by the level of the event involved.

Executions - Depends on the level of the offense involved. Light offenses have Amateur Night with Killer Karts or light cycles. Higher offenses, including capital convictions, can end up as Executioner vs. Criminal in a team or challenge format. Very few criminals win their freedom through these duels. Executioner duelists have become expert with high skills in driving, gunnery and handweapons and are very popular with their fans. Executioner events take place at least once a month, or weekly if the caseload warrants it. The format of the duels and division class involved can be voted on one week prior to the event by residents of KC-1.
