Great Plains Racetrack
Champaign, Illinois
Built in 2053, the Great Plains Racetrack (GPR) is nicknamed the "L" due
to its layout. The GPR runs a regular season from April to October, featuring
car, cycle, trike, and racing body events. The GPR is part of the L'Outrance
Circuit.

Racetrack Features:
The outer walls are 15 feet high and have 100 DP. Inner walls are
3 feet high and have 50 DP. Garage walls are 15 feet high and have 100 DP.
The track surface is paved with no banking. Overall track length is .22
of a mile. Grandstand seating is 10,000. Eight universal turrets with a
VMG each serve as racetrack defenses.
Track Rules:
No temporary speed boosters, turrets/EWPs, and dropped weapons. No weapons
fire until the first lap is complete. Race length is usually ten laps.

Special Events:
Tournaments - Local, state, and regional level events are held at the
Great Plains Racetrack. Prestige is multiplied by the tournament level (local
x1, state x2, and regional x3).
Champaign Race - Held once a month. All participating vehicles must have
one space for cargo to carry six champaign bottles (each bottle weighs 2
pounds). Each maneuver or hazard equal or greater than D3 requires a roll
of die for each bottle. A result of 1-2 indicates a broken bottle. The player
with the most bottles remaining , or having the last bottle to be broken
(if that be the case) at the end of this ten lap race wins. Prestige is doubled.
