Eureka Dueltrack
Eureka, California


Constructed in 2035 and originally called a race arena, the facility was refurbished and called a dueltrack in 2049 by the AADA. It runs a regular season from April to to October, featuring cars, trikes, cycles, and racing body events. Most races are of the ten lap variety with no weapons fire allowed in the first lap. Part of the Overdrive circuit.

Track Features:
Outer walls are 15 feet high and have 100 DP. The track surface is paved with no banking, and the track infield is grass-covered (considered an off road surface). Overall track length is .33 of a mile. Grandstand capacity is 10,000. Track defenses consist of  8 universally turreted VMGs located along the track.

Track Rules:
No direct weapons fire until one lap is completed. Limited dropped weapons in dueltrack events and no dropped weapons in racing events. Dueltrack events  allowone or two spaces worth of dropped weapons. In this case such weapons are used after the fifth turn (from a standing start). Racing events use rolling starts at 60 mph with no dropped weapons allowed. Direct fire weapons are limited by division.
    Starting positions are determined by top speed for AADA sanctioned events. The fastest qualifier gets pole position.

Monday - Closed.
Tuesday - Practice Night.
Wednesday - Amateur Night.
Thursday - Team Night.
Friday - Challenge Night/Time Trials.
Saturday - AADA Divisionals.
Sunday - Special Events.

Special Events:
Tournaments - Local and state level events are held at the Eureka. Prestige is multiplied by the tournament level (local x1, state x 1.5).

Demolition Derby - This event is run either in a figure-eight pattern or a free-for-all. The grass infield can be used. No ramplates and bumper spikes are allowed. Only division 5 and 10 vehicles can be entered. Prestige is doubled. Occasionally chassis and crossbow vehicles are used.
