Built in the shadow of Diamond Head in the outskirts of Honolulu, Diamond Acres is one of Hawaii's premiere arenas. Duelists around the world have enjoyed this arena since its opening back in 2036. Operating year-round, except for the occasional typhoon, duelists and dueling teams are able to enjoy the Hawaii sun and surf in-between dueling events. Thanks to the arena's location, prestige is doubled for all events. Diamond Acres is part of the Overdrive Circuit.
Arena Notes:
The floor is gravel and sand, making it an off-road surface. Walls
are 15' high and have 60 DP. Gates have 10 DP. The diamond structures are
10 feet high and are made of transparent plastic armor. Each diamond has
40 DP.
Arena Defenses:
There are eight turrets, each with two linked VMGs, mounted on towers
spaced equally around the arena. These turrets have been used in the past
to engage aircraft that tried to disrupt the duels. More often the turrets
are used to punish violators of arena rules.
Arena Schedule:
Monday - Team Events
Tuesday - Practice Sessions
Wednesday - Challenge Night
Thursday - Amateur Night

Special Events:
Races - From simple to complex, courses can be easily set up in the
field of diamonds. Dropped weapons and tire shots are banned in such races.
The most common race course is between the arena
walls and the first row of diamonds. Sprint cars or modified stock car
races are typical for races at the Diamond Acres.
Finding Diamonds - Six diamonds in the arena are marked. Duelists must hit each of the diamonds with an aimed direct fire weapon, doing at least 1 DP of damage. The duelist who scores the most hits is the winner. When a duelist hits all six diamonds in an event he is called a 'diamond'. A duelist that has won this event four times and has hit all six diamonds is called a 'crown'.
Breaking a Diamond - A special prize is hidden amongst the diamonds. In order to find it, duelists must do ten points of damage to a diamond to 'break' it open, enabling them to see if the prize is inside the diamond. To win, a duelist must stop, get out of their vehicle, pick up the prize and then leave the arena with it. Prizes range from Gold Cross benefits, trips, and large cash prizes.
