Cessna Aeroduel Arena
Wichita, Kansas
This aeroduel arena, one of a handful of such facilities in the United States,
was built in 2043 near the Airtech factory in Wichita, Kansas. Originally
used as a test area, the facility then turned into a part-time aeroduel arena,
due in small part to the strong aero dueling enthusiasts living nearby. It's
open from April to October, with microplane events heavily featured.
The Cessna facility is noted due to it's location and
association with Airtech. Due to coverage and sponsorship, the Cessna is often
the site of regional and national aero duel championships and well as exhibition
events.
Arena Features:
The arena ground is grass covered and is considered an off road surface.
The central TV/defense tower is the only permanent structure in the arena.
In game measurement it's 10" high and has 60 DP. As for the temporary corner
towers they have 10 DP and stand at 10" as well. At need, these corner towers
can be lowered and removed from the area in 15 minutes.
Defenses, located on the corners on top of the central
tower, consists of four universal turrets each with a HMG.
