The event was held at the Paradise Racetrack in Phoenix, Arizona. Attending
racers were Michael Garrity, Don Jacques, Norman McMullen, and Allan Dudding
(Iowa Underground - Guest). Starting positions were randomly decided, with
Norman taking pole position, followed by Allan, Mike, and Don.
The group crossed the start line at 100mph and accelerated
towards the up-going spiral. Norman quickly zoomed away from Allan, who
was locked in a battle for second with Don. Mike brought up the rear. At
the top of the first spiral Don reached his maximum speed. Mike poured
on the oil and zoomed past him, catching up to Norman. Both Norman and
Mike continued to accelerate away from Allen and Don for the rest of the
race.
Norman and Mike crossed the start line about a quarter-lap
ahead of Allan and Don. At this point both Norman and Mike fired their
MMLs at each other, chipping away at each other's armor. The duo kept trading
shoots for the next three-quarters lap. Norman lost his rear MML and received
a hit to the power plant. Mike lost one point to his MML, but stayed on
Norman's tail for the rest of the race, trying to score another hit on
Norman's power plant.
After completing one lap Allan spun-out going up
the first spiral and slammed into the wall. The vehicle was wrecked and
debris littered the track. Don avoid most of the debris and stayed on the
track. After that wreck both Norman and Mike completed their second lap.
The race was declared over with Norman taking first place.
